Reiss Nelson

Could he be key for the near future of Arsenal?
Firstly, he can hopefully offer us a wide option for the forthcoming season - something we have lacked for a while. His loan at Hoffenheim was a learning curve, and although he wasn't a massive success on the pitch, he will come back with the experience of having to fight for a place, experience of being constantly involved in the first team and should be better for it.

The second point is perhaps a bit disheartening on the face of it. If he does have a good season he could potentially bankroll a total revamp of the squad. Yes, selling your bright young hope hardly sounds like building for the future. The facts are, though, this is the most likely way forward for the club.

A lot of people point at Liverpool and say we should be doing what they are. They generally mean splash a lot of money on problem positions. However, you have to understand that came with selling their star players to generate the money. Liverpool, after all, have a far less net spend over the last few years than Arsenal.

Reiss Nelson has great potential, and we need to utilise this as quickly as possible. We have other youngsters close to the first team, such as Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah, Krystian Bielik, but Nelson looks like the real cash cow.

Hopefully we will still have Xavier Amaechi by then to step into Nelsons place and become the next cash cow.

Also slightly concerning when you have Raul and Vinnie saying how important the Academy players will be for us, yet have Bielik saying no one’s told him what the plan is for him next season.

Arse meet elbow?

They promised Arsenal fans if the stadium paid up to compete in the Premier League. Now we pray that a youngster eventually come good to sell him at a high price.

What a joke club Arsenal has become under Kroenke.

Embarrassing.

The stadium still has a long time before it is paid up.

Good to see Bielik with a MotM goalscoring performance in the Euro u21s

Yeah that is where we're at sadly, not only do we need to ship all the overpaid dross we also need some incredible talent to emerge just so we can cash in.

I wouldn't mind that at all without context but the painful part is we had everything in place (huge cash reserves, CL football) then facked it up during the Wenger and Gazidis clown show

No we're not, they had good players and sold them for big money.

We merely aspire to be like Southampton

You need to take into account that Arsenal are utter crap at any negotiations which is why we pay more for the quality of players we buy and sell for less than players are worth, if we get anything at all.
