In all seriousness, I do think if we sorted our midfield properly, this would aid the defence immeasurably. Thats not t say that a new RB and CB wouldnt be helpful

If we could sign another Roy Keane and RVN I think we would be a side transformed. Of course an upgrade in every position would be great but it ain't happening.

I agree 52. I do genuinely believe there are some good youngsters around the , but I struggle to have confidence in our recruitment to identify and sign those 2 or 3 strategic signings that would be the leaders in teh side.

Based on the potential (big) outgoings we would need a summer like this in my opinion. Also based on likely incomings according to reports (I know, I know)

Lukaku - £50m
DDG - £40m
Rojo - £5m
Darmian - £5m

£220m (plus £250m alleged budget)

Ins:

D James - £15m
H Maguire - £70m

That's an entirely new midfield and would mean Romero in goal for a season.

Would be a dream scenario but not financially impossible.
