I'm afraid that a 'track record' extends far beyond one transfer window and our recent track record is not great.

Not really. We had the biggest change in club personnel in our mid term history as Wenger left the club. I'd say the whole thing had about as big of a reset as you can have at that point

Btw I'm not remotely deluded and believe we'll drift further from the required level due to self inflicted financial constraints BUT we have made quite decent signings since the regime change. Flops are Suarez and Lichsteiner and neither were even proper signings (a free and a loan)

I'm referring to the track record of our club, you are referring to the track record of the current regime, for which there have only been two transfer windows - in one of which we didn't sign any players. I would politely suggest therefore that 'track record' is not really the appropriate wording if that's what you are referring to, one transfer window where we signed some players is simply not enough proof, 3 or 4 windows where the new regime have signed players could be considered a track record in my opinion.

Let's not forget as well that Sven Mislintat was heavily involved in a lot of the signing we made last summer ad he has since departed so you could go as far to say there is really no track record at Arsenal full stop for the staff that will be responsible for signing players this summer.
