The Asian tour

It seems from all the accounts that the timeline for getting in new players have been laid down by Poch, and Levy has been made clear that Poch wants the signings to be done in time to take part in pre-season training and join up with the tour to Asia this summer.

However, any Lo Celso transfer being sealed could well be delayed by his involvement with Argentina at the Copa America but the feeling in Spain is that the Betis midfielder wants to link up with his compatriot Poch.

Also Betis have a 20 per cent sell-on clause with PSG so they need to get as much as possible for the midfielder and this is where the delay could come on as Levy is not one to give-in usually.

Delays on NDombele are due to the two of the toughest negotiators in world football, still in negotiation. and the two, Levy and Jean-Michel Aulas, have a good working relationship but so it’s never going to be the quickest of moves.

However, Levy will know that there is less time and wiggle room with Ndombele due to other interested parties.

The player has made it clear he's welcome a move to Spurs, but also said that he’s heading off on his holidays and will look at it all afterwards indicates he’s not expecting the transfer to conclude soon.

Spurs have made the 22-year-old their number one target.

I think we have to be patient and if the rewards are getting one of those two players or ideally both, then it is what it is.

The Club is definitely trying to sewn up deals but Spurs are a well cautious side when it comes to finance and it is one of the best financially run clubs in the league, so things will take time while everything is being discussed and negotiated.

tbh I am not concerned about other clubs...

I have mentioned them in the context of reply to what was mentioned prior.

I understand everyone's concerns, but I do think that we owe it to the club to give them the necessary time.

I know this is about Spurs and Spurs only, but let's just for a second compare our situation with the teams around us.

Chelsea have lost their best player by far and have just lost their Manager.

Arsenal have no CL to offer and by all accounts not much money to play around with, plus having the likes of Ozil on £300,000 per week.

Man Utd have just had Pogba come out and say that he wants a new challenge, so they have to go through negotiations with him, have no CL to offer, a completely unproven Manager and many sub standard players, just take a look at their board on here to see how many players their fans want out.

I know there's not much football on at the moment so the talk will inevitably be about transfers, and I know what is said on here by all of us matters not a jot. But there's no point losing your hair over us not doing any business by 17th June!

I mean that's great and all...

But we're looking to compete with Liverpool and Man City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely, and it would be great if we could improve as much as Liverpool did between the season they just had and the one previous, but that would take some doing.

All of the other teams I mentioned (Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea) would say that they are looking to compete with Liverpool and Man City too. We even actually finished below one of them last season (granted, our CL run probably had a lot to do with that. But that team also had the Europa League to contend with, they won it!).

I don;t think tbh Arsenal are saying they are trying to compete with Liverpool and City.

They are trying to compete with us and Chelsea

Btw, the Europa league run is a lot easier than CL runs

Cannot blame us for being anxious in the transfer window we have reason to be.

Trippier is now being pursued by...Juve

Hasn't Sarri seen him play?

Have we tried offering Eriksen another contract?

I suppose it's not as simple as offering him an improved contract and if he declines it then we sell?

According to one of the articles I have read, apparently we have put on the table a fresh new contract for Eriksen, which equals Harry Kane's in terms of money.

I'm not expecting anything to happen quickly, it will probably be at least well into July before we sign a player. And we all know how 'Last Minute Levy' likes to operate.

If that's true we should set Eriksen a deadline to make a decision on it. If he's committed enough to us he'll give us a decision and take the contract. If not then look to sell.

I think trouble could be brewing up for Liverpool too

Talk of Salah and Mane bids looming...

Only City is immune...They have a war chest the size of Europe

And no, they don't buy glory

Bet you both are still at Liverpool next season.
