Lifeline for Sanchez as number 10 (ish)?

I know, I know, he has been utter trash. But, whenever he has played he at least gives a s41t. Or he at least harries and harasses and puts the opposition defence under pressure.

I understand he is the devil when it comes to the salary and resulting squad disharmony but IMO you don’t go from the leagues best player one season (maybe Hazard, Silva, KDB.......... etc) to being an absolute flop the next.

He needs a free role. This is not going to be achieved as a winger, or CF. 4231 with him in the middle of the 3.

Not like Poggy, maybe not as solid, but as long as the “2" have discipline (not saying they can’t link - think Keane and Butt) and the full backs push on (Shaw is OK and worth persevering with IMO, + give Dalot a chance) then I believe Dirty S could actually be an asset for us and surprise everyone.

Bashing incoming........

You should try making him captain, I reckon

He can't pick a pass, the only pass he ever tries to do in an offensive position is a stupid lob that rarely goes anywhere. He's a player who relied heavily on his energy and pace, both of which have gone.

What has happened is very similar to what happened to Rooney. I’d get rid if possible

His legs have gone. He's done as a top level footballer. Simple as that.

The only time he's looked remotely useful is when played as the number 9 as his movement is still good and he's less involved in the build up (ie, he doesn't have the chance to give the ball away constantly).

If we were going to play with a ten, I'd honestly prefer to see Gomes there.

Sanchez is quite possibly the worst piece of player business the club has ever done.

There are 3 options with Sanchez (dead obvious I know):
- keep playing him in the hope he somehow regains his form and starts doing the business like he did at Arsenal (can’t see this happening tbh)
- use him as an impact player, 20 mins here and there in the hope he finds one moment of magic every few games which might nick us a point or 3
- get rid and use the cash on someone who will produce the goods more often than not (not a clue who)

Really past caring which of the above we go for. His wages are ridiculous but there are plenty of bigger issues to resolve before we get to Sanchez I feel

it's really hard to give up on a skilled player. you keep thinking that he'll bounce back to his former glory.
with sanchez its over. hes been finished for two seasons now and will never be a top player again.
thats just my opinion and i could be wrong.

There aren't many bigger issues tbh

His wage, the lack of impact he's made and the position it puts us in with renewals or any negotiations with potential signings for wages

Him leaving is a major priority

There's only one option... He's feck all use

I think he is finished playing wide roles, at least at United. His struggles are to do with his style of play, how we play and him not being as good as he was before.

He can't play a "10" role unless it's as a second striker. He would probably be better in some kind of Benzema or false 9 CF role and allow Rashford and Martial playing as wide forwards.

Pretty much, he has to adapt change to make the best of what he is now rather than what he was before.

His wage and having to adapt the team to him isn't going to be in the interest of United, nor the other players.

Best we make a clean break. I do think if he were to move to Spain or Italy, we might see the Sanchez closer to that of Arsenal than the one we have right now.

I wish he has such a great Copa America that teams make enquiries about him. We would have to subsidies his wages, but it's better that and get him off our books than keep him for 3 years.
