Franks reputation and honour is assured and secured at Chelsea, whatever happens in his managerial career, either here or elsewhere.
Hopefully he bucks the trend and stays around for a long time, but in the modern world of football, anything can happen, and anything is possible !

Barca appointed Pep even though he'd only had one years experience managing Barca B prior to be appointed Barca manager.
Real Madrid appointed Zidane with only two years experience managing Real Madrid B. And look how that turned out for both clubs.
------------------------------------------------------
Barcelona had a structure in place long before Guardiola which enabled that type of transition to happen seamlessly - just look at how well Rijkkard did (a pretty average manager). Drawing that comparison is a craven copy of the mistake assuming Sarri was gunna naturally slot into being our Pep/City because their styles are similar, ignores all the prep work City did years before Pep was appointed.
Real Madrid's a better side by side comparison to us, and I will admit Zidane's success shocked me. It depends on two things for me - (1) how naturally gifted Frank is as a tactician, because that's been the most shocking element of Zidane's tenure at Madrid, nobody imagined him being as tactically clued in as he is.... (2) how he balances the practical need to integrate youth with managing egos. Wahl indirectly brought up a really good point on another article, Frank knows about player power better than most - both as a contented observer and a disgruntled participant - and this group is nothing like the one he grew up in with us, it doesn't professionally keep going regardless. That's gunna be a big challenge for him.

the thing I would be worried about if I was Lamps is how quickly Chelsea seems to change managers
I'd be very worried about ruining the relationship with the club i am a legend at because they sack me after 1 or 2 years in charge
I like Lampard a lot, as a player and as a person, i just feel he should do a little more managing in clubs that have a track record of backing and sticking with their managers

Like who? Derby have a bad start next season his job will be in jeopardy.

I think Frank will do well at Chelsea, it's nice to see Chelsea appointing a legend he's also a nice guy and got lots of football knowledge to offer.
