Mata

Looks like he’s getting a three year deal after positive talks with the club. This is a fecking crap decision, he hardly plays as it is and can barely outrun a sloth.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a wonderful pro but the fact we’ve let Herrera go without a fight and tried harder to keep him instead says everything about this club. Mid table mediocrity continues to beckon.

Breaking on Sky now that Ed is overruling Sir Alex who suggested Steve Walsh take up the DOF role.

He didn’t have a great time at Everton from what I recall.

Seems excessive to give Mata 3 years.

I could accept another 1 year extension. But maybe the club are looking for some resale value as back up.

As much as I love the guy, it’s time that he was moved on. Especially if we can not get any new good players that can compliment his style of play.

Are people forgetting we are in the Europa League? It’s a big strain on the squad. We can’t just clear it all out in one window and throw youth players in. Especially if Pogba goes. We’d be losing another player that can pass a football.

Yeah, he came in and they signed Rooney, Sigurdsson and Klaassen, who pretty much all want to play in the same areas.

Was binned after 1 year. Seemed to do well at Leicester though.

Which is why I can accept him staying 1 more year or moving on if we can get someone in better.

I don’t think he was director of football at Leicester, that’s Rudkin, he was chief scout. Now I’m no fan of Woodward, but we have to be careful that we actually appoint the right man in that position, if it’s the route we are going. I get the impression some fans just want a director of football for director of football’s sake, without taking into account the real possibility they won’t be that good at the job. It’s my worry with the club appointming one, especially if their judgement of coaches is anything to go by.

Prem, and as I mentioned it’s likely the new deal has optional extensions put into the contract.

I can imagine that to be the case too Daz.

I would like to say that the board isn’t all that stupid when it comes to contracts... but it’s the United board with Ed in charge that we’re talking about here.

nice distraction from Mata though right?

That isn't washing with me. You genuinely believed that. This is Trump's power though. Morons believe him and think he's a straight shooter.

- what a d 1 ck...

you would of though if I 'geniality believed that I might of argued a point of some sort right?

"name one thing he's failed on'??? - you think I might been a bit tongue in cheek with that?

having said all this, I do like Trump, I really like the Glazers too
