Barbet joined QPR for free today. We love a good standstill in a transfer window. Clark from Pompey set to join Brighton so we'll need to be linked with 9 new defenders this week.

Those players may or may not have benefited us but the point again is other clubs seeing a target and getting their business done early.not sure how the dual strategy of Bielsa wanting players in for full preseason programme and understanding his methods and us waiting for the premiership teams to release players on loan is going to work.

Can anyone argue the point that we have to spend another year in the championship due to ARs messing.I thought not.As for Paudie OConnor did not Orta say he was the future of Leeds .He was a fine prospect when he played in Ireland raw but bags of potential.

Not necessarily a good thing to be overly active in the transfer market, Forest last year signed a huge amount of players and whilst they did improve did it reflect their activity.
Those one year left on contracts are a concern, Roofe, Klich, Dallas and some of the kids, Nicell for example. Hope a lot of negotiations take place next week.

Donn, I agree to an extent mate, we messed up in Jan, yes totally down to AR, I agree... but lets not forget, we through it away vs 10-men Wigan at home... I'd argue had we not done that, we'd of gone up top two... that is not AR's fault directly is it?

When you look back at that full squad it puts into perspective how much Orta has p...d our funds against a wall.some of our best performers in final year of contract and some of our worst a millstone round our neck for years.

Jonty, I would imagine Orta making the best signing of his career - Marcelo Bielsa - has bought him more time.

Orta has one more crack at imo and if he gets it wrong, he has to go. We could have 15 - 20 mil to spend with Clark, Rose add one's, Saiz sales, cant be doing with anymore DeBock/Okanea/Weidwalds
