Eriksen: How much Spurs offered him?

We keep going on about a new and better deal being given to Eriksen, an offer that rivals Kane's 200k a week figure.

So why is the player not grabbing it and signing this supposedly £200k a week offer?

Because it is not the same as Kane

According to Paul Jiggins of The Sun, Tottenham have offered Eriksen £7.8m-a-year/£150k-per-week to stay at the club past 2020.

There lies the myth

Am I in the minority when I say I am not that bothered if Eriksen goes ?
I mean this is a player who has not scored from a free kick in years, even though we keep being told he is a dead ball specialist. He can't even clear the first defender when taking corners, and in many games last year it appeared quite clear he did not want to be there.
Surely if we can get some obscene fee for him, then let him go and invest in a player (s) that will do these things and move us forward.

To me Eriksen, like most players after 6 years, looks tired of Spurs, and fresh legs/mind/enthusiasm is now needed.

Not alone. I almost feel like we need some new blood as he seemed a bit stale.

Having said that though he is heavily relied on so being able to rest him better in future could see less seasons like this when he seemed way off his best at times.

As for his stats, he scores and assists at the same rate as David Silva and he works his socks off so not sure we can be too critical of his end product despite his poor return of FKs of late.

I'm no Eriksen super fan and not fussed if he stays or goes but he scored a from a free kick in the last league game against Everton.

What you tend to find with some posters on here is that if a 3 legged donkey played for Spurs they would get their unequivocal support. If you scroll down to the Eriksen article from a few days there were actually Spurs fans saying he'd had a good season!!?

The truth is that in the real world alot of our fans are fed up to the back teeth of him showing occasional glimpses of what he can do then disappearing for 5 games. If he comes back with the right attitude I would give him a chance to redeem himself but if he doesn't want to be at Spurs he's the type who will sulk like a 3 year old child whos lost his crayons.

If he stays lets hope he's been on a corner taking course during the summer.

In reality though, Eriksen hasn't shown anything remotely to what he can do, and we all know what he can just recall two seasons prior over the whole of last season.

Other than two games in which he turned up, nothing to shout about really

Sadly for Eriksen, he had an awful season, too awful to be in a position of strength.

Not his best but I think 'awful' is going a bit far. He was out of position in the pivot for a decent chunk of it.

Not sure how reliable that payroll site is but it states we are wasting 35K a week on Nkoudou. There is no wonder we can`t shift him, he`ll be lucky to get 10K a week anywhere else in any other country.

How "real" is this Real Madrid offer?
Aren't they in for Pogba?
Have they not gotten Hazard?
I cannot believe they want Eriksen after the downturn in form he has had this season.
I'll bet he stays here.

Of course if he stays he will insult the intelligence of all Spurs supporters by saying that was what he wanted to do all along.
