Might just enjoy working with Sarri. But thinking about that brought another name to my mind.

Space somewhere for Paul Clement perhaps? Couldn't hurt having someone in the backroom staff (preferably close to Lampard) whose got experience as a manager in the PL.

Apparently he was offered some kind of ambassadorial role, but preferred to look for a coaching job.

That's assuming Paul Clement wants to revert to his previous assistant role.
I'd be all for bringing him back (Carlo was lucky to have him) but at the same time wouldn't undervalue Frank's right-hand (main) man Jody Morris' tactical acumen and extracting the most/best out of the players he has worked with for years.
Clement might just unintentionally undermine his position, which could be detrimental.

Anyway, I don't think Frank wanting an experienced assistant staff will be on the agenda anytime soon, going by comments on arrival into first-team management (as follows)...:
"I wanted them (staff) to be young, so we're fresh, hungry, we want to work and have those new ideas and be forward-thinking."
I admire that stance (doing it the unconventional way). Whether that confidence is misplaced or pays-off, time will tell.

One thing I believe will work in Frank's favor...is his ability to handle/manage players better than predecessors on a player & human-level (understands the mental & emotional aspect well), perhaps being a club legend might also help his cause of commanding immediate respect, which is half the battle won in getting a tune out of the squad as a whole over a sustained consistent period...

Man-management and social competence is just as vital as tactics, if not more.
Zidane is biggest case study of that thesis (incredible job keeping that Madrid squad fresh, super motivated and maintaining that high-level for years to break records, la liga title which they had struggled to win for 5 years at the first-time of asking...vastly more experienced predecessor failed miserably at).

I'm taking nothing for granted when it comes to young confident players with a point to prove and genuine belief from management can produce.
I'll stay cautiously optimistic about our prospects in upcoming season, even with Hazard gone thus top 4 chances been written off by the masses.

I see a silver living in Hazard gone...Team will be able to press better as a collective and learn new/different methods of playing in pre-season going forward into the season without reliance on Hazard
Players in the squad now fully aware they have to step up to the plate take responsibility and start delivering without Hazard to bail us out, may just be the best thing to happen.

Agree completely with the human aspect/social competence of management being more important than the tactical, the Nagelsmann philosophy , but can't be convinced one way or another whether Lampard will crack where that's concerned when the pressure intensifies. Most managers are fine in that regard until something changes them (Mourinho's the most prevalent example of that imaginable), we won't know with Lampard until he experiences high intensity pressure.

The Madrid scenario is a deceiving one. Similar profile of manager in relation to experience and club status, similar temperamental dressing room, but Real had players who could win games singlehandedly so the ego stroking approach is fine (this before he proved himself tactically on top of that). We had one such player and he's gone now, so in Lampard's case I'm not sure that'll be enough.

He'll come in trapped in an awkward catch 22. On the one hand it makes practical sense for him to focus the lion's share of his attention on the young players, with the ban/Morris as ass man, etc... but Frank knows the influence player power can yield especially when confronted with an inexperienced manager who intends to go in a different direction (e.g. his own relationship with AVB). I don't believe he'd be naive enough to ignore that, or arrogant enough to believe he'd be different, so he's gunna have a difficult balancing act on his hands.
