Lukaku

Inter’s first choice is Edin Dzeko followed by Marko Arnautovic. This is according to Di Marzio who is generally spot on for Italian football matters.

Surely means Lukaku is staying.

Not the worst thing but I’d rather we sold him and used the funds elsewhere.

Then again it doesn’t look like we’re using the funds we have either.

Espn reporting we've only 100 million to spend unless we sell

If awb costs 55 ish... It leaves us about 30 million for a cb, 2 midfielders... Plus whatever we can get in sales

Are you Ed in disguise with those numbers.

I'm sure Di marzio said that we were signing Gundogan before he joined City. Sky sports new then had it on the yellow ticker he was joining United according to sky sources.

There's not a Journalist who gets everything 100%. Not one.

And the only reason why people rate Simon Stone on the BBC is because he waits till it's bleeding obvious and doesn't join in for the rumour stuff.

Occasionally a club do a signing out of nowhere and catch all Journalists off guard proving they know feck all.

"I’ve never or rarely seen him say a deal is complete for it not to be true. "

I could say this about a lot of journalists. Most won't say a deal is done if it isn't.

"He may say such and such a club enquirer about a player and nothing ever happens but we’ve no way of knowing if it’s true or not."

This is also true of most journalism.

I agree but he is often first to break things that do actually happen e.g. us agreeing a fee for Darmian.

He follows what Sky in England say sometimes as he is a Sky Italia employee. Like he reported Bruno Fernandes to City being done a few weeks backs.

I agree he’s very hit and miss outside of Italian football

I just want the window to shut now, it's getting boring.

There should be a draft day or something similar where it all happens at once.

Yeah like a live auction. where they all have to submit their bids publicly, if they are accepted then they have a week to negotiate personal terms. would be a rating winner

We actually need to sell someone for a big fee (don't see our squad players raising much) ... if Espn info is true obv

*If* there’s a net spend budget of £100m, it isn’t because we’ve only got £100m to spend; it’s because the ownership and chief exec are only willing to sanction £100m.

Not really much of a stretch to understand that's what I meant

Fabrizio Romano now reporting that the only way Inter can afford Lukaku is by selling Icardi.

Would an exchange deal be a good option or is Icardi too much trouble?

Wasn’t sure either way, tbh. Just clarifying

I think they want Dzeko and Lukaku.
