With AWB heading to United wondered where that leaves us with our efforts to upgrade Trips/ Aurier ?
I know there's have been some links with us to Max Aarons.... every time I saw him for Norwich I thought he was great. Other than that, sounds as though Thomas Munier is available & I think I read somewhere Danny Alves is leaving PSG too... Might be old but still decent
Anyone else have any thoughts ?

CM, backup/competition for Kane and Toby & Eriksen situations are more of a priority than a new RB. Trippier had a poor season but by all accounts was carrying a small injury for large parts of it, and the hot & cold Aurier also had an injury disrupted season. Of course it is an area we could look to upgrade if the situation arises, but it is not a major priority.

we all know Trippier isn't the answer, but i think that some of the spurs fans views on him are harsh. he had a poor season, but before last season he certainly hadn't let anybody down in a spurs shirt. he needs to go but i think some comments are a bit disrespectful.
the player that is doing my head in at the moment is Dele Alli

Trippier is a serious weakness. Anybody who says otherwise obviously didn't watch much of Spurs last season.

We were linked with Ricardo Pereira before he went to Leicester. Seriously missed a trick there as usual. One of the top full backs in the league imo.
Heard a few good things about Youcef Atal as well who plays for Nice.
We need a dynamic, energetic addition in that position. The current incumbents just not good enough.

Most of our squad had a poor domestic season.
Tripps was shocking at times, but our midfield was non existent at times so there was no protection...
Alli was poor, Dier was poor, Davies was poor, even Toby was nowhere near the player he was the year before. Lloris was cack for large parts... Sissoko didn't emerge until November time. Son for all his goals, was also poor in a lot of games. Kane injured or not 100% fit. It all contributed to a frustrating season.
Improve the midfield and we have a better shield for the defence. Willing to give Trips another chance, and as Chronic said, he was decent the season before.

Wouldn't say he was great in the PL (CL, yes, he was immense). Had a couple of great games, also had a couple of shockers. We let in a lot of goals last season - a lot from set peices too!

Trippier to start next season, but go on to have a cracking season?

if we are being honest then we had an extremely mediocre domestic campaign. 13 defeats or whatever it was is absolutely unacceptable, and the CL campaign papered over the cracks. fack knows how we got top 4.

I wouldn't really say mediocre. We had too many losses for sure but overall we had a lot of wins (I think we had as many as we did in the season we got top 2) and then reaching a League Cup semi and CL final. Finally went on to beat one of the big 6 teams in a domestic cup too, since about 10 years ago. Considering all that with our injury record and lack of home stadium is still pretty impressive.
