Alternative CB targets

With Leicester reportedly rejecting a £70m bid, should Ed walk away, and if so are there any decent alternatives available at that price ?

Alderweireld was said to be available for £25m but is nearly 30 I believe and must have decided to stay at Spurs.

Surely £60m and Bailly, Smalling or Jones would seal the deal ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or Tuanzebe
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuanzabe ?

That would be a silly deal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? Ole clearly doesnt fancy him if he is after a 5th CB, so why not I clude him in the deal. £60m and a promising CB surely would seal the deal
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why would tuanzabe be the CB he doesn't fancy out of the 4

It would make more sense to try off load Jones or rojo

No chance we should be losing Tuanzebe. However I am worried about his contract situation. He's only got a year left too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With Ole looking for a 5th CB then Tuazebe clearly doesnt feature in his first team plans this season.

How do you know Ole doesn’t fancy him?
Granted I know nothing about him but a lot of the United lads on here speak highly of him and he seems to have done ok on loan at villa?
Ole is obviously looking for a ready made PL defender and must feel the young guy is not ready yet

Doesn't seem like we have many alternatives. We keep going back to Maguire, even after failing last summer.

Our scouts steal a living. Do they actually do anything?

The fact we are looking to buy a CB in addition to our current 4, with the kid having just 1 year left, tells me he might not feature hugely

TBF the o ly alternatives the JA606 scouts can come up with are Koilibaily, Varane, De Ligt or Dias.

To be even fairer, they do it full time.

For money.

We met players go for almost nothing.

Ed buys them back at 30000% markup.

The next step is for Ed to buy a Man Utd player for Man Utd at 100m. Probably wouldn’t even realise we already had them under contract.

Probably thinks he’s signing Jerry Maguire and got excited thinking he’d have a mate to shout ‘show me the money’ with...

Not quite true is it as Alderweireld has been mentioned too plus a few others.

That's the point though. There are not many that will massively improve so perhaps best to wait.

I still think Ole is looking as much at things off the pitch as on it with Maguire though and that's not a bad thing at all. He seems a top pro.

Does ole prefer smalling or lindelof?
