Eriksen deal is done

...No smoke without fire.

Let's review the tell-tale signs:

After Levy drops the £100m tag and accepts offer around £65m, he called RM and then:

1. Eriksen's family have been seen house huntingin Madrid.
2. Eriksen's agent has been to Madrid to see RM reps.
3. Ceballos who could be the make weight in the p/x with Real, has "agreed" terms according to certain news outlets.

It wouldn't surprise me if the only 2 thing left are Eriksen medical and personal terms agreed.

Add Ceballos med/terms if a p/x is being lined up. Otherwise, we will be looking at adding new attacking midfielder.

Spurs PR machine are usually shy and rightfully so as we were burnt in the transfer window few times (Willian anyone?)

No smoke without fire though..

Bear in mind Alderwereild could be lost to us too.

He's being talked off as make weight in a deal to tempt Roma's Zaniolo

Staggering to listen to Spurs fans claiming Eriksen is overrated. Pound for pound, when you consider that we have no one else in the squad that can play in that position, he's arguably more vital than Kane is. An upgrade on Eriksen is out of our price range. Don't expect Lo Celso or anyone else to come in and pick up where Eriksen left off.

As I said previously it will cost upwards of £100 million or more to replace Eriksen. I don`t get some of our supporters sometimes.

the point which is so obvious that its baffling that so many spurs fans are completely missing it, is that if eriksen doesn't get a move, then he will put in sub par performances for his final year, trying to avoid injury, and then leave for free next summer.

any of the possibly replacement names mentioned playing at 100% is better than eriksen at 50%, even though eriksen is a more talented player.

the best scenario is that eriksen wants to stay, signs a deal, commits his future, and has a great season.

much more likely however is him sulking at not getting a move, playing within himself, and then us losing him for a free next summer with no funds to reinvest.

if its gonna go down that path then selling now and replacing him as best we can is the clear answer.

I’ll be sad if he goes, but I would rather a hungry new player than someone who would rather be somewhere else

All well and good showing a bit of skill once in a while but at least he'll be back at Spurs soon after getting knocked out in another semi-final.

I think its more a case of if he stays its because no one wanted him, rather than we didnt let him go so hes sulking.

If he didnt complete a move away i would think he'd probably re-sign with us, earn what he's worth. Its dangerous to enter the last year of your contract....one injury away from your career taking a massive down turn and no long term contract to protect your earnings.

I thought he was gone after the second Ajax game. When the players came out after the game to celebrate, each took a turn to run up to the away support and get a cheer... apart from Eriksen. Danny Rose had to drag him to the fans, he looked embarrassed.
