The football season is back

I’m not sure how I feel about tomorrow yet, nerves will no doubt kick in by kick off. 30 degree heat, Bosnia, 1st competitive game in 6 weeks and a raft of changes to the squad..... it has disaster written all over it

I’d take a score draw right now but a win would be terrific as it would pretty much kill the tie.

Given the changes to the squad I think it’s likely we’ll see this tomorrow:

Bain

Ralston
Ajer
Julien
Boli

Brown
McGregor

Forrest
Christie
Johnston

Edouard

Bench: Gordon, Jozo, Sinclair, Griffiths, Shved, Hayes & Biton.

Few injuries still talking their toll. Ntcham (offski anyway) KT (possibly off), Bayo.

Looks like we’re after Tommy Smith and Romain Sawers, looking at around £6.5 million for both players and should those deals be done then I won’t expect us to bring in anyone else until we know our European fate.

Back 4 really concerns me for tomorrow, Boli might surprise us and hit the ground running but VVD had a nuke in his first game for us away in europe. Don’t get me started on Ralston.

If we can get the deals done this week and come through tomorrow unscathed then I’ll be relatively pleased with our work. The 2nd round should we qualify looks a bit of a gimme.

Anyway, it’s good to have it back

Haha - Neymar fails to show for pre-season. Hope they fine him every week until the end of his contract.

What do you need to watch Premier Sports on TV? A subscription naturally, but do I need to have either SKY or Virgin before I get Premier Sports?

Genuinely would say that the quality from shopping locally is noticeable. In the case of our local butcher it's not even much more expensive

There’s not a lot in it at all. Where you do pay a lot more is for fish.

Bought fish from the Fishmongers on Byres Rd at the weekend
I could look in his window all day

Get yourself to Wilson's in Finnieston. Used to be McCallums. Hidden away somewhat but its where discerning orientals shop for seafood. Used to take the kids there to see the boxes of still wriggling shellfish.

Your wriggling shellfish reminded me of my son's mother-in-law (down Pointy) and the differences in culture. My daughter-in-law is Chinese and her mother is, well old-fashioned Chinese. But fair play to her she was over for a couple of months when the kids were wee and despite not speaking any English (she could read a little English)stomped off each day to do the supermarket shopping. Came back one day in a right tizz and started (we thought) arguing furiously with the daughter-in-law. Turns out they weren't arguing - just talking loudly and theatrically to make an effect - like Glaswegians. Turns out she objected to the notice in Tesco's at the fish counter.
The notice read 'Fresh Fish'. The mother-in-law snorted in derison and demanded to know from her daughter 'How can they be fresh when they're dead?".

They have started farming and growing plants in a high rise situation stacked on top of one another. Genius if it works.

Vegans dont talk about all the wildlife that gets mushed for soya farming etc either by the way
