I genuinely thought we'd hold onto most of squad, maybe sell 1 and then somehow bring in 2.

Clarke is deal to free up some equity to do some business, great.

But to ask so many of existing squad if they want to leave just creates huge unrest, whether they want to leave or not, it undoes all work we felt we were seeing in making Leeds United again last season.

Cooper is injury and suspension prone. As good as he has been for the last 2 seasons, it's no good to Leeds if he's injured in the warm up or giving penalties away in the second leg of playoff finals. Hopefully we sign another centre back if not Ajayi.

Something has to change we must bring in new blood to the ranks. Maybe we need a shake up as we stalled in the 2nd half of the season. MB knows best ?

Absolutely Shaun, Cooper cannot be relied on, has shown it time and again with stupid sending offs, penalties and mystery injuries - one time I remember him being carried off on a Tues night game with a "serious" injury and he was playing again on the Saturday!
Back up/cover CB at best for me

Our shortcomings were evident to all when Jansson and Cooper weren’t the two centrebacks last year. Whether it was Ayling, Kalvin or Berardi filling those positions we always looked vulnerable especially from crosses.
As to Berardi, he can’t head a ball, and given how he let us and the team down against Derby by being sent off, (for the seventh time), as far as I am concerned he should never wear that shirt again. A journeyman at best and should consider himself lucky to have ever played for us.
So we can all see we need another centreback, or two!!

Cooper has improved enormously and his place in the side shouldn’t be questioned anymore.

Let’s not pretend Jansson has been anything other than immense for the 3 years he’s been here. Under Monk especially he was magnificent, literally won us points with his performances.

Don’t buy this for a second.

The guy was sensational in first season, and was a huge part of what Monk built. That season really brought the fans back to Elland Road and made us believe again.

He’s been an immense player for us, some of his individual performances have been right up there with the best in a Leeds shirt since the PL days.

Huge loss.

I agree with everything you said, that’s not in doubt, but it was obvious he didn’t get on with everybody
