GK is only vulnerable should we ever have an injury to the ever impressive Ederson. Muric was decent in the League Cup, but looks set to join Forest on loan. Bravo back in training, with one year left on his contract he has recently reiterated his desire to stay with us.
Despite only conceding one more than them last season, the back four is the only area where I think Liverpool have a real advantage over us. Three of their regular starters would walk into our team with relative ease. I think resigning Angelino was a savvy bit of business, on the other side interest in Cancelo persists, and in the middle while I agree walking away from Maguire at 85m is the right move, I’m sure one eye will still be set on finding another CB - Stones seems to still only have half a season in him, although talk of Fernandinho dropping back to add support seems to be gaining some momentum.
Midfield is looking very healthy, the club have got their man in Rodri, and contract talks with Gundogan and Sane are sounding positive. As David Silvas role sadly declines, hopefully Phil Fodens continues to grow. Additional huge advantage, if, Kevin De Bruyne stays fit.
Up top I imagine the search for a long term replacement for Sergio Aguero will ramp up over the next 12-24 months. My jury is still very much out on Gabriel Jesus, and using his antics in the Copa America Final as an example, he is some way from having what it takes to lead our line week in week out.
All in all certainly feels like our business is not yet complete, even if we don’t sign anyone else though can’t be unhappy now the glaring weakness at DM has been addressed.
Business left to do?

IMHO, you should buy Maguire for £90mil... after all, your club paid £36mil for Mangala in 2013(?).

Whoever gets Maguire has been monumentally done over.
At 40m he might be worth a punt as he's decent on the ball and a threat but he's not actually a very good defender and lacking pace for the top level, he's not a Van Dijk, he won't transform either City or United's defence.
I'd be chuffed to miss out at anywhere near the prices quoted.

I'm not convinced little Fern is a week in week out CB, does give away a few free kicks and not a great aerial presence. Fantastic player and I am sure he can cover if needed but not first choice CB. Recruit someone for the future would be my choice.

I certainly hope we don't buy Maguire at that price.
Just because Stones had a bad game for England doesn't mean he should be immediately discarded.

Stones always seems to start incredibly, get injured some time aroun Christmas/New Year, then never be able to get a foot back in the door.

Assuming that Stones and Laporte are the first choice pairing then a back up is needed as Stones does get injured a lot.
Ederson is the best in the PL but needs a decent back up.
