Not really. I like Blind but his lack of pace is always going to be a liability as a DM. Just as it is with Matic.

disagree, blind may have a lack of pace but he reads the ball and the game so much better than matic does.

ive seen blind live at lb up against Lennon who everyone thought would slaughter him and he didnt give him a sniff all game.

ive also seen him at CB against Lukaku when he was on fire for everton and he never had a sniff all game because of blind.

its like Paulo Maldini saidIf I have to make a tackle then I have already made a mistake.

Someone like a Kante to run around putting in tackles and Blind to play deep lying playmaker is what in theory would be all you need for Pogba to execute his damage...if he's up to it.

I thought people were impatient with Lindelof to begin with. He was only 22 when he signed and had never played in the Prem. It was always going to take him time to settle and learn to deal with increased physicality and the high ball.

He is by no means the finished article in that regard.

Blind wouldn't come back to our club after how shabbily he was treated. I'd love to see him back in our kit, but is he a complete fool? I doubt it. Ajax is a fine team and they value him. Lindelof is probably fishing to some cash - just another reason Ed was a sap for the Piano Man deal - it's disrupted the entire club and will cost us for many years in inflated wages.

I'd sell Pogba.

We do need a whole midfield 3, but if we could get that player to break up play and a quality playmaker, I think McTominay or Fred can fill in the box to box role.

Tbf I have probably seen about 30 very average centre backs over the last 2 seasons who Lukaku didnt get a sniff against.

Seems a non-story. Pretty sure Lindelof is nailed on to be a starting CB. He’s also probably one of the more likely candidates to wear the captains armband when Young isn’t playing (largely through lack of anyone better).
