Pleasing, very pleasing.
I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by us last night: the first 25 minutes were typical Celtic away from home in Europe, slow, laboured and no penetration but also caught out with one or two straight balls down the middle
That said, our response was terrific and the 3 goals are all good goals in their own right.
The left hand side impressed me, I thought Boli did very well for his debut and his movement going forward was extremely encouraging. That said, he had Jozo next to him who I thought was flucking murder last night
Johnston did very well and what a strike that was, badly needed as I wouldn’t have liked the game to get to half time and us 1 down.
I thought Brown was man of the match but Christie and Ajer weren’t far off.
Forrest was shocking, Edouard did ok but a wonderful goal in a crucial game again for the big man.
Anyway, it’s job done and tie over so we can look forward to the next 2 games, one a friendly and one a competitive game where we can go out and express ourselves and try to get more goals.
Looks like the Ecuadorian boy is at it, Lennon said he’s never heard of him he did say he’s hoping to get a few in soon though so I’d expect us to try get one or two in before the next Euro deadline which I believe is a week on Monday.
Potential banana skin that last night with thousands waiting to pounce on Lennon if it went Pete Tong so credit to him and the players for doing the job

I think Forrest is hampered by our lack of a natural penalty box striker, I meant why get to the byline and whip in a cross when 9/10 nobody is in the right place to finish it, for that reason Forrest is almost always looking to cut inside now.

I liked Lustig, first few seasons he was more than decent, last two, not so much and he could be got at but he never gave anything less than 100% and would, along with Brown, drive players on, I haven't seen enough of Ralston in a longer run of games to make a call on whether he is good enough or not?
That will be a moot point however when Celtic go out and buy a MAGNIFICENT RB in the next couple of days
