Just translated this from the Paris newspaper. Lad on twitter asked Radz about the Qataris and said he quickly glossed over it without answering.
‘Paris Saint-Germain will probably no longer be the only Qatari property in European football. Indeed, the acquisition of Leeds United is looming. Negotiations are progressing fast. Pascal Boniface, famous geopolitologist, returned on the interest of QSI towards the English club in the Parisian columns.
"The idea is to widen their circle. The goal is to focus on the diplomacy of football, to gain visibility through the sport and to develop their networks before the 2022 World Cup. There is also a windfall effect, with the possibility of buy a known club, but not in very good condition. It is more affordable than Manchester United or City, which anyway are not for sale. There is a lot of talk about investments in France, but Qatar has never put all its eggs in one basket. "
The Ellan Road boarding club will play in second division next season. After a season that ended in a third place in the league, the team coached by Marcelo Bielsa failed in the shoot-off against Derby County. As Pascal Boniface points out, the possible takeover of the North England club is an excellent opportunity for Qatar. If Andrea Radrizzani ceded the club and the new Qatari owner entered the Premier League, then the success story would also be a financial and image success.
This gain in terms of image in the perspective of the 2022 World Cup would be exceptional, as recalled by the founder and director of the Institute of International and Strategic Relations, Pascal Boniface.
If the case were successful, and if this story was successful, then Qatari leaders would have to comply with the UEFA rules, which prohibit the same owner from competing in Europe with two different clubs. .
For all that, there is no reason to imagine a withdrawal of Emir Tamim Al Thani from Paris Saint-Germain as the club of the capital represents a pride for the Qatari leader. In the same way, the boarding school of Parc des Princes is one of the best vectors of image and marketing for the emirate.’

If it's going to happen I just wish they'd get on with it.
It's plain that AR doesn't have a "magic money tree" nor much of an idea of how to effectively run a football club. I'm not convinced about the bleating regarding FFP either.
Until someone comes in who can properly invest in the first team squad, we will continue to struggle. AR can't do it on the cheap, constantly watching the purse strings.
Knowing our luck, if it does happen it will be after the window slams shut when it's too late to bring in the players needed to make a decent fist of promotion.
It's a never-ending saga with this club.

The problem is, as we have all known.
The team doesn't need PROPER investment to the tune of £30-40m.
We are talking a few sensible quality buys (3 minimum) and to not sell anyone.
I think I saw that Helander (Swedish CB) went to Rangers for £3m.
6ft4" 10 Caps for Sweden in the past 2 years.
We keep missing out on what look like decent buys.
Any new investor would surely want to bring their own DoF with them, then we are at the risk of them being any good (like we are with Orta)

Rangers are switched on. Kent, Defoe, Arfield all shrewd signings since Gerrard took over.

"The idea is to widen their circle".
Oh dear, it sounds as though we're about to get shafted again.
