Paul Bell speaks

https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-ffp-transfers-jansson-16587621

“We’re doing extremely well and we look at all of our revenue streams over the last 12 months and they’re all fantastic.

“We’ve got record season ticket numbers, we’ve got record hospitality numbers, last year we sold 72,000 replica shirts.

“It’s phenomenal, honestly it’s phenomenal and when we look at the club, it’s ready for the Premier League."

We're doing extremely well in terms of revenues......but alludes to having to sell as we're close to FFP limits.......

Well which is it? Are we doing extremely well, or are we close to limits, can't have it both ways.

Rubbish somebody is creaming off millions and we all know who that is.What about the majority of other clubs in the championship who have much smaller crowds.I think they are using the fair play rules as an excuse .Nothing would convince me otherwise.

One could be forgiven for thinking that all of AR's travel to/from Singapore is funded, in addition to our man in the Far East who has delivered Ideguchi and that's about it, in addition to scouting network costs.

Expect costs to rise substantially again this year as rent for ER kicks in.

-----------

Didn't AR put his own money into this business in the first place?

why is it not acceptable for him to take money out as he balances the books?

I'm a bit lost? - and I don't really know much about it all, but if any of you lot bought a business, wouldn't you want to make money?

Spanish, it’s a disgrace!

Football is a charity and investors should be happy to donate all their hard earned cash to make tens of thousands of strangers happy!

I so wish we had that owner who worked for free back at the club!

JLA, I'm obviously missing something somewhere ....

I just want to see us buy players and win the league.. all the above may as well be written in Chinese because I don't really understand all that stuff, but, I'm pretty sure that football club owners (AR) would want to balance the books and be a success on the pitch... especially if he's put his own money in?

has he? and how possible is that?

the books aren't balanced though, we're making ever increasing losses.

Would it be acceptable for him to take out so much money that we eventually go into admin?

There is no evidence that “he has taken money out the club.”

The evidence is that expenses have been inflated in a major way. This is not good!

First post guys, be gentle!
Regarding ffp, one thing that is often overlooked and that massively muddies the water for fans trying to calculate how near or far we are from the limit is that is that a players transfer is amortised over the term of his contract.
So Bamford for example bought for £8m and given a 4 year contract will appear as £2m spend for the next 4 years.

I think Bell is talking crap! Firstly he does not actually say why Jansson left. He just witters on about FFP.

Be honest - if he was sold to either balance the books or for FFP then do you really think we would have sold him the way we did and for £4m upfront?

It obvious that Bell either doesn’t know what went on or he’s been told not to say. I’ll bet on the latter.
