Disappointing

I know it wasnt full team and probably suffering from a bit of jet lag(hope so anyway) but to be so easily beaten by them was a joke, yes prem league team but they were very disjointed last year and made us look slow and woeful. Apart from Philips and Harrison the rest looked very average and the gaps we leave in defence is shocking. looks like MB has learned nothing from last year and i cant see us make playoffs as most teams will just sit deep against us and catch us on the break and as for Bambi he couldnt score in a brothel with a fistful of £50 in his hand. Thing thats most worrying is Pablo was well of the pace and looks as if hes done. like i said hope it was down to jet lag.

And with all due respect we’ve had full houses all season and amazing atmospheres if players aren’t up for that alreadybthey shouldn’t be playing football.

Listen Jonty would love you guys back in the prem, proper rivalry and a real game even the prem has too many nothing games but you would never put our match in that category, some tasty tackles in that match for a friendly, bring it on and get promoted.

Understand in some ways it’s a pointless match but in another it shows you belong in the big time for the interest generated which is what I was meaning for your players

Yeah I’d like the matches too and didn’t mean that disrespectfully just that we’ve had our big matches for our division the players know what they have at Leeds.

The stadium and set up were immense. Was set up like a European cup final, just a shame it was a below par performance and set up from us. I'd love us to feature in more games like this

We don’t belong in the PL
We are the PL
Nasty rivalries
We are the champions at being nasty.
The PL is rubbish without us
But the football league benefits immensely

What I'm disappointed about.

These two matches down here were heavily promoted resulting in people flying in from all parts and we bring a squad of 16 missing some key players, arrive a couple of days pre game whereas MU bring a squad of 26 and have played 1 game previously and have been here for over a week.

The manager clearly didn't want to come

Was on free to air TV in Aus and people are thinking wowee Leeds are crap

As a fan living here I'm pretty disappointed by that.

Credit to the players as they took it seriously and all things considered they did ok

PS: If we don't buy a decent defender we wont be going anywhere this seasn

If you look at it for football reasons it makes no sense.

If you look at it as a chance to show a potential buyer, look how big the brand is and how the fans will pay to follow the club, it makes perfect sense.

Result is immaterial, demonstration of fan loyalty and spend was key.

Also, why would head of commercial partnerships be going on Pre season tour, this was all about business not preparing players.

Nothing game, predictable outcome. We beat Tadcaster so all is good in the Leeds United garden.
