Hi Guys, with the ongoing overhaul of our squad with the pending departures of Rose, Trippier, Alderweireld and co. Is anyone feeling a bit uneasy about Poch's ability to bring the right players in, just thinking back a lot of the players who are deemed successful were either brought in by a previous manager or were credited to someone else, i.e Deli Alli - David Pleat. Of recent signings we have a pretty poor record really when you think back:
D Sanchez - unconvicing (may improve)
V Jannsen - Failure
J Foyth - Unconvincing (lots of errors)
S Aurier - Very error prone
L Moura - Inconsistent - not always a first team starter
V Wanyama - Injury prone, inconsistent
M Sissoko - Better season last time out, but lacks the quality needed
B Davies - Not up to top four standard
F Llorente - had moments but not consistent
C NJie - Never looked good enough
N'Koudou - Not up to standard
F Fazio - Not up to our level
M Vorm - Never looked good enough when called upon
There have been successes:
Alderwerield
Son
Alli
Dier (to some extent)
I may have missed some but overall we get more wrong than right under Poch. The standard report that Trippier will go and we won't replace him, which is quite alarming if he believes Aurier or Walker-Peters are up to Standard. Rose being let go is also a surprise given that he was one player you could rely on not to go into his shell in the big games.. you need players of his type in the squad.
Anyone else concerned ?
Just to add I think Ndembele will be a great signing.
Poch's record in the Market...

Tottenham hit the recruitment mother lode (both in players and management) more than half a decade ago, and they've signed nothing but duds ever since.
The end.

Given that we've signed players like Dele Alli, Dier, Alderweireld, Son etc. In the last half decade i'd say that comment is bollox
