Another pretty good performance under Lennon and the signs are there that the boring, repetitive pass the ball at the back sheidt has been eradicated from the players minds.
A lot of positives last night, I thought Christie was outstanding, he looks much stronger and a more powerful runner already. We know he has it technically and the signs are there that this could be a big season for him should he stay fit.
I thought Boli was excellent going forward and he’s very comfortable on the ball, my concern was he does take a lot of risks and in Europe he needs to curb it a little as he did cost the goal and bigger teams will punish us consistently if we have as many slack passes as we did at the back last night.
Morgan looked good too, on the end of a few rough challenges but he kept at it and showed some good feet at times, still think he’s a bit short of Celtic quality just yet but I wouldn’t mind seeing him come off the bench the next few games as he could be a decent impact player.
We now have a tie with Estonian outfit Nomme Kalju, first leg taking place on Tuesday. This should be relatively straightforward for us as well, I’d like to think we’ll keep a clean sheet on Tuesday and take a 2 to 3 goal lead.
On the signing front, Lennon said a deal is pretty much done and it looks like it may be the boy from Beer Sheeva, right back who can operate at centre half too, £2 million signing. I’ve seen a few clips of him and if he’s as good as them then he’ll do just fine.
Danny Simpson is also coming in next week for a week’s trial after his release from Leicester. Depending on how he looks, condition wise I wouldn’t be against it as back up.

Just glad we never picked up any injuries last night.
That mob were total hatchet men.
Not helped by the ref who took an eternity to brandish yellow cards.
Two tackles I thought were red cards on their own.
