Daniel Sturridge banned and fined

Daniel Sturridge has been banned for 6 weeks and fined £75,000 for betting. He told his family and friends what club to bet on who he'd be joining in January 2018.

Do people think he has been punished accordingly ? Will this affect him getting a new contract at another club ?

What are peoples views on this ?

That dog thing was dodgy as fek. Publicity stunt.

You know for a fact it was the dog’s idea. No way Sturridge could think such a scheme up.

So the governing body, from which the judicial body which passes judgement and sentence and is wholly independent of the governing body, wants to influence them by, in this instance at least increasing the sentence (and undermining their independence in the process).

Maybe, just maybe there's a bug going round. It affects people's minds and judgement.

Maybe it contagious!

Don’t get the fuss over Arry’s dog. It was writing cheques it couldn’t cash.

The FA is appealing as well, as they do not think that the punishment is not strong enough.

What are you talking about?

The FA as the complainant, wishes to appeal to increase the length of the punishment. They are perfectly entitled to do this because the judiciary in the matter is independent.

Sturridge, as the guilty party, is equally able to appeal for a shorter sentence if he wants.
