Kaveh Solhekols opinion on Lukaku

In the right set up I'm sure Lukaku would score goals but I'm also sure the team he played for wouldn't be the most pleasing on the eye.

It is a shame as there was a period in his first season where he improved his general play and looked like he could kick on. Sadly he didn't.

Then you watch him against Spurs and Huddersfield away and there's a really good player in there when he can be arrsed.

And against us at Old Trafford in Moyes season. He played on the right of the attack and ripped us apart that night.

After spending £75 million pounds on him, one would hope that he'd at least be able to do the basics of a professional footballer - controlling the ball.

Our selling price valuation of him for circa £75 million is basically for all the goals he's managed with us. Sadly he's been one of our most prolific goal scorers since his time here. But that aint saying much.

He can be an effective player for the right team, and it isn't in our team as a first choice striker.

Either Kaveh is dumb, or on the wum.

Feed the Yak and he will score.

I hate turning up to a game and seeing Lukaku on the team sheet.

He isn't a bad player, but he isn't one you enjoy to watch and his style limits the rest of the team.

FFS. Is he massive?

He’s proven since he’s been with us that he’s a flat-track bully, what is it, one goal against the other top 6 clubs since he joined? Loads against the Stoke’s Newcastle’s and Huddersfield’s of the league, but he can’t do it against big teams, so what’s the point?

Not to mention the shambles which is his first touch and hold up play, which he was criticised for at Everton. He seems like a nice guy and good luck to him in Serie A, if that’s where he ends up, but for someone who gets paid to talk about football saying they don’t know why we’re selling him...
