Diego Llorente?

He did the job when it was asked of him. I am not against this decision.

Probably the most criticised of our players in recent years on JA606. And now our fans our pleased

So far, Llorente has been only decent backup that has accepted to play when needed without quibbling.

He seems to also have that quiet and confident air on him that influences the dressing room. Seems to be very popular player amongst his colleagues.
Of course, he can’t be on 100k a week playing it part but if he’s accepted the new terms, then good on him and great for us.

He did well at times last season but we should be looking for improvement in that area now. Can we expect any more improvement from him at age 34? He scored as many goals in the league last season as the season before, but in more appearances.

Two goals in a total of 36 appearances in the league shouldn't be what's required for a club of our status. I accept there may be less minutes in it but Janssen has 2 goals in 31 appearances and hardly anyone wants him to stick around.

Llorente’s performances in the CL outshine anything Janssen has ever done at Spurs. Scored against Dortmund, scored the winning goal in the City tie and changed the game against Ajax, bossed their defence and made the winning goal by outmuscling de Ligt and getting the knock down to Dele at the death.

He’s a good pro, will be on reduced terms, happy to be back up to Kane, Son and Moura plus we’ll probably see Parrott getting some game time too. I don’t have an issue with giving him another year.

Some good and important performances in certain games yes. I'd like to see what this Parrott is like, because although he's only a back up, I do think we can improve on Llorente, and have someone offering more of a threat than some good hold up play and the occasional danger from set piece delivery.

The fact still remains, he has 2 goals from 36 appearances in the league and is not young. If he stays then I wouldn't want us to have to rely on him as much.
