Gareth Bale

He's close to leaving Real Madrid, I would take him on loan to be honest.

No it’s more that whatever happens, you’ll come down on the side that is negative to me.

Not really true. I get that you may think that with me, and that's fair enough but I can honestly say that in this case there are no winners. Despite what you may think.

I have to say, I don’t believe you’d ever conclude I have the advantage in any argument or debate - not with your history.

But it’s also fair to say I’m embarrassed by this thread and you’re right about there being no winners.

That doesn’t mean I don’t feel I’ve won a personal battle with Thorgen, because I have, but it’s still all very childish.

Bale attended Whitchurch High School in Cardiff. He was a keen athlete; he played football alongside future Wales rugby captain Sam Warburton, rugby, hockey and excelled at athletics. As a 14-year-old he says that he ran the 100-metre sprint in 11.4 seconds.

Bale's training regime involved Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays in Southampton and Wednesday evening at the club's satellite academy in Bath, a two-hour round-trip from Cardiff. That meant he did not go to school for the first two days of the week, but he still found a way to get six GCSEs, with one A grade - in PE, of course.
