Outcasts

What about our current outcasts? Will they get the chance of a Klich style redemption this season? After all, the squad is looking light, especially in defensive areas and the owners are trying to do it on the cheap. The 3 in question are;

Oasim Bouy - 26, defensive midfielder who can also play centre back. Been at Klich's former side Zwolle. One of the strangest signings in football history as we've never actually seen him train or play for Leeds and barely even exists to us. We wouldn't pay 1.3 for Ajayi but Bouy shares similar traits as he.....

Pawel Cibiki - Swedish youth winger who move to Sweden collapsed and his now back at Leeds. Was playing and scoring in the Europa league, how bad can he honestly be? Has a cracking cross on him, we know that much.

Connor Shaugnessy - A centre back option, decent age and done well for Hearts last season featuring 12 times from January including the cup final against Celtic. Is probably a better option than Phillips, Berardi and Struijk as third choice CB. Certainly cheaper than buying one.

Does anyone see any future for these guys at Leeds?

Absolutely no future at Leeds.

Bouy is an example of what we all know is going on in football. Players that are signed by clubs with absolutely no possibility of ever playing for them or even having a sell on possibility. Why on earth would he be at Juve for 5 years and then given a 4 year deal at Leeds? Not ever played much even in his loan spells. We can call it a 'strange' signing but I think we all know what type of signing this was.

Cibicki just wasnt of the ability required and needs a move back to his home league.

Shaughnessy was given a 4 year contract based on a handful of promising games (Burton and Fulham home games). Has some ability but suffered injuries and needs to go somewhere and play.

I pointed out on another thread that bouy is 26 and never featured for his parent club.

I find that astonishing, I really do.

Shaugnessy is an interesting one, think he could get a couple of cup games and if he does well might be on the bench.

To be honest we have the same number of defenders as last season and we had real problems with having fit players, we have already lost Ayling before the season even starts and I am worried that once again we will be playing players out of position.

So if Shaugnessy can get himself in the team than great, cause we need another centre back

Best, on Pawel Cibiki not being of the level needed, many said that about Klich. Klich was always a player. Like KP, he needed MB to play him where he needed to be and the confidence that brought. I always thought Cibiki might have something. If he's here with MB, maybe he'll be the bloke who becomes the next Klich redemption project?

None of them included in pre-season squads means they are all not in Bielsa's plans

Doubts about Phillips, Klich & even Roofe this time last year.

Maybe the players listed not part of pre season as expected to leave?

My guess is they’ll not figure, but god only knows at the mo.
