But as to your question. We were so interested in Fekir that we had completed his media videos for the club. This isn’t a contentious point.

We were very keen on Dembele and a potential loan option was looked into but Barcelona weren’t interested.

The third player was in fact Butland.

You might not like the fact that Liverpool look into players and end up not signing them but that doesn’t refute the interest.

My former colleague tells me it’s 99% Pepe.

He’s told me that for weeks - although he also said Fernandes was booked in for a medical.
