Interesting comments, & not a coincidence that we are signing & being linked with top players. I would be overjoyed if we signed Dybala, no question he'd be an upgrade on Eriksen......not totally sure its likely to happen but its a real signal of intent !!!!
I've been a strong critic of Levy and while we all acknowledge the need to strengthen the team, the fact that he's actually speaking in public and giving us a chance to manage expectations is greatly appreciated
Fingers crossed for the rest of the window & excited for the new season

Levy has taken a lot of flaks from me including the tag of the miser from lane, baldy etc..However, he showed he is a real fan of the club, the way he handled the finances to favour the club and put it in a strong position and also the way he continually backs Poch
It's really Poch who helped Levy to become a better version

Easy tiger..... lets see how this window plays out !!! Until this Summer, We hadn't done a thing for 18 months.... Not true to say "continually backs Poch" but there are positive signs this Summer

Haven't seen so many positive signs emanating from the baldy and his activities, since Juande Ramos and the shenanigans of 7 signings in 1 transfer window

To be fair we tried to sign Frenkie De Jong last summer and he rejected us

No mention of the budget model sell to buy that people on here keep quoting me when I ask about Levy's spending

My point being was that a bit of communication during the past 2 years would have lead to a lot more understanding from the fan base towards Levy & Club. We all understood the long term plan/ sustainability of the club etc but Levy could have handled it so much better. We all knew we were gonna have to pay more for the stadium and that's fine but it would have been nice if he'd have come out and said "we had faith that Poch & the current squad can get us through this period and once the stadium is done we can return to strengthening the team. Instead all he said that was the stadium had no impact on the transfer budget (not true) & we we missed our opportunity to actually win something by adding to best side we had in a generation... Doesn't really matter now..... but its easy to understand why some (including me) were frustrated

While I concede that the communication between the club and the fans could be better in all regards, it was quite obvious that spending was limited - we were building the best stadium in the world, having just built the best training ground in the world.
The fan base was split between those who didn’t understand what was happening and demanded spend when we couldn’t really afford to (Don, spurtle, one or two others), and those that could see the painfully obvious (I.e everybody else)
Best chairman in the land, comfortably.

Sorry where are the quotes of levy saying we will spend a fortune?. All I can see is him saying we will strengthen when we can?

Nobody is saying we're gonna spend a fortune, just do more than we have for the past couple of seasons now the capital projects are complete
