Wow. Shows how fans can be duped by sentiment and incorrect punditry. Both players are not top notch. Maguire just gets the benefit of the doubt by pundits.

Things like tackles, tackles won, headers, clearances, interceptions are not really disputable. Not sure how these can be read any differently for any defender?

The fact is Leicester are a counter attacking team. They are not expected to dictate play. Maguire will be very exposed in a Man Utd team that is expected to dominate play, attack more and therefore they leave their defenders more isolated and without protection.

If anything those stats will be even more stark for Maguire when he is forced to defend one on one a lot more at Man Utd.

Maguire isn't worth the price United paid. He's 30m too much and that's considering the market as it is.

Saying that, Mustafi, regardless of stats, we hope you keep him. I'm sure someone like the Op is estatic that the you have Mustafi in the the Arsenal team.
