I know, no player is irreplaceable BUT it is difficult to understand what is going on at ER. We have sold our best CB. Reason given he has upset the dressing room & MB?
Next we struggling to keep our best defensive MF Philips, maybe his last season for us if we do not get up, as has not signed the new contract offered. Probably wants more. Seems like we are letting go our best CF. Sold our best keeper.
International CB replaced by a young gun who has not played in this league.
Striker who at last found his best form, now leaving. No replacement, got only 5 days. Rumours about Petagna & Vydra & Kent?
Will we keep our best DMF?
Does not make sense? or does it?
Very odd goings on at Leeds Utd

One more point. I never really judge a striker firstly on his finishing. Its if he gets in the right positions to shoot. Bamford does that. Yes he misses a bit. But the fact he gets in the positions is a start.
His finishing may come with knowing he is first choice, a run of games, confidence.

Best - Agree. Cooper has been hammered for 2 seasons. He is an outstanding defender at this level and arguably our best leader/captain in years. Comes across well on and off the pitch (twitter etc).

agreed yorkie. i think it would be a good window if we signed an established cb and didn't lose roofe.

If Bamford can get a goal early doors tomorrow, or even at all to be fair it will do him the world of good.
Could actually be a bit of a blessing that our first game is away as it puts a little less pressure on him as it’s not in front of a home crowd

also i feel pretty good about our academy. bring a few into the team second half of the season to keep us fresh and hungry.

mattyp, if bamford stays relatively healthy i think he could be top scorer in the league. like someone said earlier he gets into the right spots all the time.
start putting in the missed sitters and his confidence will strengthen and then he will get the love he needs from the fans. it's a vicious circle.

Bogusz scored a goal and affected outcome of a game, albeit only in pre-season. Has looked a find when he played for the U23's.
Clarke up to the fainting incident looked a great prospect he has really struggled to refind that form since both at U23 and senior level.
Hoping Clarke doesn't drift into obscurity but think Tottenham move was a mistake, too early in his career. I really rate Bogusz and in pre-season he had a better time than Davis (who I don't really think will cut it), Shacks (who I have high hopes for but he picked up an injury) and yes Clarke.

The positive is since we've hardly signed anyone we won't have to worry about players settling in so should be happy days tomorrow!!!

Im hoping Bielsa has taught Bamford where he went wrong and where he needs to improve.
Last season for a big man he looked incredibly lightweight. If he improves that part of if his game we could d have a decent player on our hands
