Shouldnt have lost the game but very happy with what I saw apart from concentration lapses

We saw nothing new from what we have seen in last few seasons. Look good in parts but ultimately bottle and lose where it matters

Let’s go get Lewis Dunk And Conor Coady
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With a week left?

They'll be worth £100m a pop now.

Was a joke tbh

I don’t agree with the early closure unless every league agrees to it

If other nations keep it at the end of the month then so should we
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know.

But we've got Raul now. I wouldn't be surprised if he bundled a couple of Barca players into his carry-on on his way back.

He was rather poor is my judgement

Real competition from your youngsters about places. That's good. Only on our RB side there isnt competition enough. Hope Bellerin is ahead of schedule and adapt quickly to the PL again.

Mustafi and Chambers were pathetic for Suarez’s goal.

No, not yet. I read if all goes well he will be back by the end of September

Overall not terrible from us against a good side. We looked sharp on the counter and mostly coped alright with Barca. We lost to individual errors, as is often the case. The team when functioning as a whole isn’t bad. But when our defensive players are put under individual pressure they buckle and make poor decisions. Hard to fix without just replacing them

The usual suspects, Xhaka, mustafi, chambers were poor. So was Niles, he’s clearly not comfortable defensively, but looked good going forward.

Positives were Willock, Auba, Nelson, saka and ozil. Guen looked ok as well considering it’s early in his pre season for us

Yeah I do think mental strength has been a problem for a while with a lot of defenders who have played for us. We’ve had defensive issues for as long as we have been at the emirates and all the defenders who have been here since it opened can’t have been terrible

Just missed a tony Adams if I am honest
