Attacking intent.
What a difference in the team. Let's not kid ourselves scoring 7 goals against any top flight team is tough, especially a team that sets up 4-5-1 to defend for 90 minutes.
I have not seen us so good since the invincible season. It looks like we have taken Rodgers passing style of football and combined it effortlessly with Lennon's attack minded style.
What we get is a team that works hard for each other both on and off the ball. No more unnecessary passing back to defence but good decisions being made. If an option to attack was on then we took it, a ball into feet in a packed area, shooting from outside the box, balls through the defence or if required a ball back to defence to quickly move it forward again.
I could go on all day about all of the goals but the movement is what gave us all 7 of them. Christie's movement was unbelievable, always checking where he is and always finding space. Johnstone's movement off the ball for the first goal should not go unnoticed due to the superb ball from Christie or the terrific footwork to score. We are commiting runs forward. Our wingers are making runs in behind the defence and taking on the full backs.
Up top I thought Eddie was untouchable. The ball sticks to his feet, his work rate is outstanding and his unselfishness is where a number of goals came from. He thoroughly deserved his goal and could IMO have been Man of the Match.
Early doors for us this season but the attacking intent is great to see again. Parkhead was rocking and it was because of the performance and not because of two guys with drums chanting rebs for 90 minutes in different corners.
We have just strolled out to the centre spot, planted a huge flag that says 9 and said come and stop us.
It's good to be a Bhoy

on the match itself, Hatem looks clevel but i'm reserving judgement on the full backs as they have yet to be tested defensively.
People like bitton and domestically he is fine but when we start to get teams coming at us he will be shown up, Ajer has to be the choice imo.
Eddie is superb, his close control and skill are just something else.
Johnston took his goal really well but i felt he fizzled out a bit after that. Forrest had a good game as well.
Christie was superb, as was ntcham when he came on.
Ralstons shocking btw

I’m delighted for Neil Lennon. There was a lot of understandable negativity about his appointment, but he certainly looks like he’s learned his lesson and is fully focused on the mission at hand. It seems any suggestions of player unrest that were talked about looks to be bs. Early days, but it’s looking good.

its too early to make any calls, it was flag day and its easy to say the players should be right up for it, becaues they should
but there were games last year, paritcularly one against aberdeen at home that we could have pretty much won the league had we won and the players didnt look bothered at all so i'll take this.
EASILY the best football we have played in two years.

It was the first game Mrs Call Sign had been at for a while and she was thoroughly impressed with Ajer and Eddie. I think she also appreciated how good they were at football.
