It's good that we are moving away from just throwing money at players who aren't fully committed to joining.

Woodward still is a shambles in the market however.

I agree to an extent. But we would have got someone like Dybala and Eriksen if we were in Champions Lge. No question about it!

They still wouldn't be committed to the cause. One is being forced out and wouldn't be leaving if he wasn't, regardless of CL. And the other has set his heart on a move to Madrid and is reportedly willing to run down his contract to get the move.

Irrelevant. The player wants to move to Madrid so won't/might not be committed if he moves to United.

Wise move by both parties.

If he is keen on a move to Spain, then nothing will likely change that as he probably knows that between January to the summer, he is free to negotiate and will have more lucrative offers.

And now we save ourselves big money and hassle from another uncommitted player.

This has to be the final wake up call to the club, to stop fecking things up and get back on track. Get this club back to where it belongs.

Us not being in the CL had nothing to do with us not signing Dybala. It was wages and Agent fees and image rights. This was discussed yesterday.
