We’re saving our money

For Jan.

Just one of the many excuses I’ve heard about this window.

It’s been going on for years, this constant defending of poor owners.

Must be only fan base in the world, where we sell £30m of players, don’t reinvest any of it, and the fans think it’s brilliant.

Its weird and bizarre.

My last thoughts on it, because am p@ssed off

Hopefully all these gambles pay of and we are promoted

The pharmacies around Leeds and other places with high concentrations of Leeds fans must be doing great business in anti-depressants.

I need them just reading ja606!

"I would love Bielsa to walk and cite lack of investment as the cause, that way we would see he actually has some integrity."

Have you lost your senses? You'd "love" Bielsa to walk? You a manu fan in disguise??

Bielsa is the epitome of integrity. The fact that he hasn't walked can be seen as proof that AR's financial restrictions are genuine. The slightest whiff of unreasonable non-compliance with Bielsa's plans would have him walking out the door.

Maybe love is a strong word but would certainly throw a few squirrels amongst the field mice.

There were similar sounds start of last season.

It’s over to MB & the team now 👍👍

Whilst the article is in true pull no punches LIW style it is not far off the truth.I can understand why some people are supportive of the owners and try see it from their point of view but I do think overall when you think what we have been through over the last 15 years they get an easy ride compared to how that would go fown set other clubs.

For much of that time I was probably one of those people but what happened in January and then how the season ended the time of giving owners the benefit of the doubt ended for me and has led to my criticism of the window this summer. Maybe that's harsh but it hurt badly and informs where I am at.

We have to accept that Radz, Orta and Kinnear will never love this club the way we do. We have to accept that footballers are commodities to them, that they are working off some algorithm of how much playing time you can get for what price with what kind of performance ratio, factoring in time off for injuries. We have to accept that Radz has taken a risk in buying the club and is entitled to cream off the top. The hardest part to accept is that they really don't give a sh!t about the fans so long as we turn up home and away, buy the merchandise and sing raucously about marching on together. When you see them smiling in the directors' box after a victory, it's another tick in the box, a consolidation of assets or leverage on a deal with a media company. It's the contemporary model for running your football club and it works. Just look at any of the top clubs and you'll see the same thing.
Look, I feel jaded by this window, not just by our lack of vision. Radz started off as a breath of fresh air, listening to the fans and building bridges with the community. Now LUFC is starting to feel like any other company.
I know, a couple of good wins, and it will pass, but what makes for good business seems to gnaw away at the soul of great clubs.

“We’ve built Leeds United over the last two years into a very attractive investible proposition, we’ve shown we can have some great success on the pitch, drive revenues, very interesting property development, bringing the training ground back into the city centre, so we’re not surprised we’re getting interest from serious groups who want to come on the journey with us.”

These are the real metrics for the board, failing to get promotion is great success on pitch!

What is all this property development? Elland road 2020 never happened. Bringing training ground to city centre never happened, if anything were ploughing more and more money into TA when Kinnear keeps telling everyone we’re moving away from it
