Proof the FA is clueless

Huddersfield Town have been charged by the Football Association with breaking kit and advertising rules. This comes on the back of a friendly match where the Terriers wore a sash-style advert on their kit advertising Paddy Powers. The shirt was a spoof and it was all a stunt to promote the fact the sponsor had agreed a deal to actually remove all advertising from the shirts for the coming season. All in all a fantastic move, given that so many ad-infested shirts look blatant and tacky, and one that, if anything, the FA should applaud for restoring a sense of decorum and good taste to the game. The Football Association has promptly responded by charging Huddersfield with breaching kit rules. Leeds have frequently been on the end of mindless decisions like this (most recently Bielsa's spygate) and this is a reminder that those running the association that rules our game are totally out of touch and draconian in their application of the rules.

They won’t High. We all know the league gets on its knees in front of Derby’s crotch.

Trouble is Highland, we sold our ground 15 years ago to
Jacob Adler and then leased it back until Radz finally re bought it in 2015.

If the rules have been broken then they should be penalised. We get punished for absolutely everything and the Football League (EFL) has been a thorn in our side since the days of Hardaker.

I'm not being supportive of other teams I know but you see each and every side jumping on the bandwagon when we are up against it, Spygate for example.

Fine them, deduct points and close the stadium. Only when other teams experience the injustices that we have to then there might be a move for greater consistency for all.

Bitter? Yes absolutely.

If rules are broken then they should be enforced

This could be very embarrassing for them if it gathers momentum in the press.

This was never about raising £30k for charity. It was always about promoting Paddy Power, and Huddersfield's multi-million pound sponsorship deal with them.

The rules on kit sponsorship were broken to benefit the sponsor. ¿uck 'em, hope the FA throws the book at them.

I'm sure Paddy Power and Huddersfield could raise much more for charity if that was their aim.
