If all of this is true, now I'm excited!
Imagine winning the Europa League with a bunch of 17/18 year olds. It sounded like Gomes and Chong wouldn't get much game time but Ole sounds adamant they will play, even acknowledging not giving them enough minutes last season.
Tuanzebe: “I think the manager is really looking to introduce new energy to the squad so it is the perfect opportunity to take. It is just comforting to know that I have a role here. It is up to me now to fill those boots and show what I have got."
Tuanzebe: “We had an in-house meeting with the manager and the coaching staff, and we decided it was best to stay here and continue my development here. I have always wanted to play for Man United and, especially this time around, it is a good time to stay and fight."
Tuanzebe: “Manchester is my home and playing at Old Trafford with all of my friends and family close by to see the games is all that you wish for really, so this is a great opportunity to do so."
Tuanzebe: “It is always an honour and a privilege to play for this club. It should not be taken lightly and it should be brought back to its winning ways and a winning mentality."
Tuanzebe: “Ambitions? To be playing regularly for United and it is very, very possible this season. I think the manager has shown faith in me in the pre-season games, he has a lot of confidence in young players and the club is going through a phase of change."
Tuanzebe: “New contract? Yeah, it is good, it is all part of the journey and it plays a part into my aims and ambitions for the season. And it just shows the club are willing to put trust in me, put faith in me, to continue and progress."
Tuanzebe: “I think the team performances over the last six games have been very good, we came out with some good results, so now let's carry it on into the season."
Ole on Greenwood: "He is one we believe is going to be a big part of this squad going forwards and we'll see a lot of him.“
Solskjær: “They [youngsters] will get opportunities. It's one of the big decisions you have to make when you've got such a talented player coming through. Are we going to get players in who are going to block his path or trust him and give him an opportunity."
Solskjær: “No [Gomes and Chong won't be loaned]. To be honest, I can see them staying here and making a proper impact. They have already, on pre-season, and they did so in February, March and April. They did well in training but we never gave them enough game time."

Also Dalot, who seems to be a bit of a forgotten man with the signing of AWB - I think he could develop into a really good right sided attacker.

Indeed he’s already a lot better than awb in an attacking sense.

Not sure I believe that given what we saw preseason.
Dalot has an excellent delivery on him, but spider looked very confident going forward on tour. He’ll pick up a few assists this season.

He want bad, but I don’t think he’s a great attacking fullback by any stretch, great defender though

Neither is Dalot. I have reservations over AWB’s attacking capabilities but there’s little evidence that Dalot is in any way superior in that department.

It's a problem we've had with fullbacks for a long time. Since Irwin and G Nev, we haven't had one who possesses a good delivery. Evra got forward a lot but couldn't cross or pick the final pass. Shaw is similar in that regard and it's no better at right back. Dalot and AWB may change that though. Too early to say

Evra was miles better than shaw crossing wise. We should have bought tierney for 25m he’d have been a much better option than shaw

Shaw doesn't half get a lot of stick since his leg broke. Before that he was every fans fave. For what it's worth I think he's a top defender and mediocre attacker. We can't have a worldie in every position and there are half a dozen I would change before him.

He wasn’t that great before his leg break. Not if compared to the likes of Liverpool’s fullbacks. I would however agree with him being a good defender, similar with awb, both are very good defenders but not anything special going forward, which is fine unless you play a style that needs that attacking quality.

Tierney's quality. But in this moment in time he wasn't a priority in the transfer window. The biggest was probably a CM. But that didn't happen.

I like Shaw by the way. He's a good full back and not someone I think we need to replace. But in terms of attacking full backs, we haven't had one who can do anything in the final third since the two i mentioned. And I maintain that Evra was good at getting into the final third without ever being good in the final third. He wasn't a good crosser and rarely created chances

A lot better? Really? Have you watched any of pre season or much of him at all in general?
This myth that AWB is poor going forward is getting really tiresome. I see it and immediately assume the person writing or saying it gets their opinions from whatever the concensus on a forum and/or twitter.
He's already got an assist and shown he a good passer of the ball. He over laps frequently and regularly dribblrs against players and he's good at it. He's a flair player which makes sense because he used to be a winger and can pull out a trick or two during games to beat a player and set us off going forward.
I like Dalot and I think he'll have his bit to play. I think he could go on to be a useful attacking player but he's much more of a crossing full back. We aren't a crossing team. AWB has good link up play, is good going forward and his pass and move style along with his more measured passes, rather than crossing, into the box, will suit us more.
Even at Palace his cross accuracy and dribbling stats were good but he is obviously going to have much different instructions.

No one said he’s poor going forward, he’s just not that good either. Compare him to genuinely good fullbacks going forward like pools and you clearly see he’s not in that league.
