Attitude

We could have done with Wilks yesterday. A big, pacy, direct player, he would have terrorised the Forest defence. We also saw the impact of not having Pontus when Forest got some balls into the box. But these are the kind of players Bielsa struggles to manage, players with attitude, and they are the players who fire up the crowd and the team.
We looked comfortable for long periods of the game, depending on possession more than drive to get us the points. Our midfielders worked hard to limit Forest's momentum but you could see that once Ameobi was on the pitch, we lost the initiative. Where was that winning mentality?
When Bielsa arrived last season and things weren't working out, he was prepared to make bold changes. He took Phillips off a couple of times, and often changed the shape of the team to put the opposition on the back foot. We needed that attitude from him yesterday.
In this division, attitude is often the fine margin between winning and losing. We need to get it back if we are going to get back to the Premier League.

Let’s face it, we never sign the players the fans want. The club isn’t the slightest bit interested in our opionions, even though we have 10 years experience of this dratted league.

I thought there was a fans group as part of the board now? Or have I dreamt this at some time?

Stopped reading when you described him as big.

Be honest you’ve never watched him play have you

I watched Wilks in the play-offs for Doncaster last season, and in Barnsley's first game last week, courtesy of Bein Sports in NZ. What part of big, pacy and direct do you not understand, Radchancer?

6ft with the hair, Kebab.
And that's a decent size. As for the weight, he has put on a few kgs since last season. Look at this video from last season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccu82KC6P3I
Now look at him in the Barnsley highlights last week.

What world have I been transported in to?

Welcome to my world, Gelderd. I don't think anybody except Kebab actually gets what I am saying. That's a worry for both of us.

This would be the same Wilks that was substituted in 62 minutes utes right when Barnsley needed a goal to get back into their game?

Ive said before I liked the look of the lad and would have been interested to see what he could have done (particularly after Roofe left) but think some people are bigging him up far too much
