Lukaku was the wrong signing for many reasons. I don't hate him. He isn't a target man.

We need to manage our expectations though. Goals change games, and those shots that hit the past could have made it a very different game of they went in. We grew in the second half. Our midfield is a weak area that may take time to improve and questions for Rashford and Martial has been about teams that sit deep and hard to break down. Those will be answered later in the season.

The biggest test is reaction to defeat. This team over the past few years has found it hard to recover from it.

The plus side is we can get better but it'll take time.

Took him 7 minutes pretty much to score as much as Lukaku against a traditional big 6 side. I honestly can't believe we got so much for Lukaku considering how bad he was for us.

It actually made me laugh seeing pundits saying where will the goals come from. Its not like he was scoring a lot when he was here so if anything we were more likely to improve if we give more naturally talented and faster better balanced players play up front.

Heck not only that Rashford and Martial scored 3 between them today. Shows you how far we were being held back with Lukaku playing.

Lukaku played whole match in last season 1-1 draw knowing a 4-0 win would keep us with a realistic chance of 4th spot. Instead he bottled chances and showed no energy in a game we needed goals.
