65 minutes I should say.
Congratulations to man utd, they look fantastic on the counter and once that second goal went in it was game over, we opened up and were punished.
But i'm actually more confident going into the season, than I was before which feels odd after a 4-0 loss.
Had we finished a chance or two, or zouma not made a silly mistake, then maybe utd capitulate like we did in the end and it's a different game.
But, for a first game in the pl I thought the way we moved the ball around and pulled utd players around the pitch was fantastic, we played some slick stuff, hit the woodwork twice and forced de gea into some parried saves that could have ended anywhere.
A shame about the result but lot's of positives in a season where we will have several ups and downs.
Player ratings:
Kepa - 6 - couldn't do much about the goals
azpi - 5 - a bit slower nowdays, struggled against utd pace.
christensen - 6 - done pretty well
zouma - 2 - struggled massively, not good enough for us
Emerson - 8 - thought he was fantastic today and kept trying till the end, unlucky with several pot shots
Jorgino - 5 - quiet
kovacic - 6 - nice patterns and helped pulled utds midfield about but came to nothing
barkley - 5 - tidy and good driving forward but made poor decisions
mount - 8 - fantastic pl debut, best midfielder on the pitch imo today
pedro - 7 - kept trying, poor decisions at times but had luke shaw all over the place
tammy - 7 - done well, at times outmuscled, but also outmuscled the cbs on ocassion too, unlucky to hit the post.

I’m not seeing it. Chelsea didn’t have chances or look threatening at all. Tammy Welbeck didn’t cause us any problems at all. All Chelsea’s possession was in front of us. We looked the more comfortable, controlled and threatening team in the second half, even before the second goal.

Tammy didn't but overall for the 1st 20 minutes of the 2nd half we were no way inferior to you. Up until you scored the 2nd I was struggling to think of anything you'd created from open play Darren.
Then it all went horribly wrong!

They had there chances. Hit the woodwork twice and Dea Gea made a few solid saves.
Utd's midfield had a load of gaps in the first half which Chelsea could have done better to exploit. Abraham being swatted aside didn't help. Chelsea were niave, but the scoreline flattered you.

Our decision making final third was a big weakness too, we should have even more shots, and decent chances, but barkley on several occasions, pedro and who was it who was one on one with keeper after luke shaw fell but scuffed a cross instead?
