Tonight is the battle of the European competition winners from last season. Liverpool v Chelsea in Istanbul the place we won our 5th European cup.
Liverpool started this season well with a 4-1 home win over newly promoted Norwich. Chelsea had a shocker against Utd and looked weak at the back.
Would you play a strong team tonight or would you rest some key players and concentrate on the league?
I find it annoying that teams who do well in competitions seem to get the bad luck of the fixture draw. I saw that we are going to be playing a game every 2.5 days or something silly in December as we are playing in the world club cup. Why should successful teams be punished like this? I think we should not be playing in the FA air league cup when we are in these competitions. They are both worthless trophies and don’t help the club in the slightest.

I would rest a few key players for the league games. This team should be able to beat Chelsea’s youth team.

That’s a League Cup against League two opposition, and that Midfield would get mullered against any PL opposition.
I think Klopp will go a lot stronger than that, he’ll want to win it.
