A really good game even if we didn't get the result, we went toe to toe with the European champions and were the better side for the majority of the game and penalties were needed to separate us. Plenty of positives to take from today
We didn't concede 4 goals
Defensively we were still shaky but both centre backs benefitted from switching sides even if it didn't solve our problems.
Kantes back and looks better than ever, especially first half. The guy makes such a huge difference, true world class player.
Jorginho was top class tonight, such an intelligent performance from him. Looks like the shackles have been taken off and he's benefiting from it.
Pulisic looks lively and brings a good balance to the side, could be a real baller for us once he settles in and gets used to the league.
Giroud played well and took his goal nicely and played well, seemed to have that good link up play with pulisic already. A reminder what we have if Tammy doesn't step up
Tammy and Mount both had a real positive impact when they came on, Tammy won us the penalty and Mount had numerous chances, I have the feeling with mount once he gets a couple they'll start to flow.
Tomori got on for some minutes and looked settled straight away.
We seemed a lot fitter already than the United game which Is important with how lampard wants us to play.
Might be abit early to say this but you can already see the direction we're going in and the makings of a good side. Very exciting season ahead

Yes I thought he played well too just not as well as jorginho and kante. With the little bit more freedom Frank seems to have given them they all look more comfortable already than they did under sarri

I really do not rate he's positional play at all
I know he's young but he should know basics

Thought both were really good, Emerson especially, his pace, energy and overlapping runs were great he's just let down too much by his final ball especially his crosses. Still a very good performce though

I think you’ve been very good to watch in both games and there’s been very positive signs in both too. I think it’s a real shame Hazard isn't still with you as the way Lampard has set you up and the style he is employing would suit him down to the ground.
Out of interest, what’s happening with Batshuayi? Is he completely out of the picture now?

Some excellent tactical work from Lampard in that game.
He had a brain fart against United but last night I thought he did very well. That will be promising for Chelsea fans.
