Great result away from home, I think you could see a determination amongst the players to try and put last Wigan result well behind them.
Whole team looked solid. Apart from an early 6 yard box scramble when Wigan had a little pressure, Kiko had little to do, bar a couple of long-range saves and he did them just fine.
Defence looked very assured, White and Cooper completely in control.
Forshaw full of running, but left his shooting boots at home, Philips with some great passing and Hernandez pulling the strings.
Felt that Klich faded early again and overall a few long range shots from us completely wayward, but otherwise loads of possession, Bamford working hard and good to get on scoresheet and Harrison looking really good , but, as I said before, not always an end product, it feels that teammates need to read the play a bit more as Harrison is more and more getting past his man and getting a ball in, but not often someone on the end of it.
Costa looked good when he came on, would liked to have seen a another sub get a few more minutes, but a win, hopefully no injuries and Costa 10 minutes more match fit.
Wonder how Jack Clarke is going to break into this, surely Tottenham will be wishing he was getting match time.
Thought the ref was really good today, strong decisions and common sense to let things flow at times.

I agree kebab. I just think there’s room for improvement.

Didn’t see any of today’s game as I’m away on holiday, so thanks for the overview Jonty.
Delighted Bamford bagged a few. Was talking about Spanish about whether he should retain his spot, so huge credit for his goals today however they went in.
I think people should remember the championship is a scrappy division and any 3 points are welcome.
A 2-0 win away from home is always a great result.
On to the next one. <okay>

Pro,why do you always discount 10 men matches for your so called data?..
Makes your data invalid!..
So, in your view this game never happened!..

Sometimes even we can do it with 10!..
Or even 9!..
"I agree kebab. I just think there’s room for improvement."
I've said a few times even the best in the world think there's room for improvement!..

Have to ask, does Forshaw have any shooting boots? I am desperate for the guy to score.
Forshaw has been one of our best player so far this season, so many on here wanted him gone but the guy is class.
No-one will admit they were wrong but they were.

Top of the league and on goal difference.
Not bad for a side that won’t score

I don’t agree Jonty
Same problems with that starting line up
Of course it will change which is the good news.
Incredibly hard to access wins against 10 men.
I always discount 10 men matches for my data base.

So you didn't count the loss v 10 man Wigan in your thinking last season?

Its an odd thing playing 10 man teams, they have a habit off surprising, I wouldn't be surprised if every team 100yrs old or older haven't lost to at least one 10 man team!..

Forshaw played well, however he’s playing in the wrong position.
For the good of team play him in his best position.
I don’t want Forshaw on the end of chances because he’s not a finisher.
I want the chances falling to players that will score.

Haymaker.. yes so pleased for Bamford.. they weren’t the most eye catching goals but they all count.. I think he really needed those..
Following our debate the other day I’d still say your position is still valid.. (even if it appears harsh) though a couple of home goals would sort that! .. I do think he’s a confidence player and hopefully he scores on Wednesday.. I hope he bags one early doors as this would settle him a bit...
But, all that said.. when win 2 - 0 and your striker gets them both, it’s only a good thing.
Somebody mention Chris Wood, and his second season.. (think on the match day thread).. I think / hope that Bamford follows suit for us in this way..
