Second season success?

Probably a bit early for this one, but reading the comments today about the team, are we beginning the reap the benefits of players who are in their second season with us, and with Bielsa?
Thinking back to players like Chris Wood and Ross McCormack, they hit their stride in their second season with us. Are we starting to see that effect with Bamford, Forshaw and Harrison?

More than likely. Let's not forget, Bamford and Harrison aren't that old either.

Bamford was slow and pudgy before his injury, and Bielsa sorted that out last year. He puts in one helluva shift, just needs that luck in front of goal and the fans to give him the confidence to just keep trying. It;s not easy being the lone front man

Harrison got better and better last year, but this year he is showing his true potential already - a fantastic player

Forshaw was played last year mainly as KP replacement in DM - now he has moved higher up the pitch we are reaping huge rewards

I wanted to see Nketiah today, but as soon as Bam scored his second, I realised it wouldn't happen unless he got a hat-trick. Nketiah will understand that too.

I like that Klich is getting subbed - he is an awesome player and puts in a lot of work that goes unnoticed. With 10 games to go last year, he was noticeably drained. Bielsa appears to be making sure that doesn't happen again - even if Klich doesn't like it!

Costa is gonna be excellent. Wen the commentator said after 10 of the 2nd half that Ali was coming on, I was disappointed - not because I don't like Ali, but that he can only really replace Douglas and he was solid today. But the commentator had it wrong, so all was good.

We need a natural replacement for Pablo - he can't go on forever (even though he is one of the fittest there). He needs to be rested occasionally I feel. Costa is a good right mid alternative, and Shackleton is a great slot-in in the middle.

Our only issue is height - but if we keep the ball on the floor, every other team needs to up their game massively

I forgot to add Kiko to the list. That save at the end was top drawer.

I’m a big racing man and to use a racing term a lot of our players have improved 7-10lbs this season, Harrison for one,
