Lo Celso made one pass yesterday.

Not convinced him and Ndombele will make a good two. Defensively both aren’t that good

We haven’t really played that for ages. A variation of 442 either flat or in a diamond seems to be the way we’ve played mostly lately.

I dont think the recent games have been a change in formation I just think it is the way we have been pulled around on the pitch.

Poch's normal system is totally reliant on the full backs and as we are definitely weak on both sides I think the 2nd defensive midfield player has been pulled out to cover.

I dont know whats gone wrong for Rose in that position its not lack of effort for sure but our left side appears as vulnerable as our right

Pretty much, he favours this formation of I mean 4231
With 3 behind Kane.

So Lo Celso is replacing Lamela, and Lamela is being primed to replace Eriksen is my view now

Yeah Rose does appear to be on the decline now. Eager as ever. 16/17 season him and Walker were truly world class WBs. We see glimpses at times, but rarely that same intensity and explosiveness that pins opponents back.

Now is the time for Poch and Rose (hopefully) to mentor and mould Sessegnon into a top quality LWB.

On the right I believe Poch thinks Foyth is the long term answer. I am still not convinced. Maybe next year we will make a move for an Aaron’s type. Especially if Foyth reverts to CB or KWP doesn’t improve his defensive concentration and physicality.

We've 100% moved away from the 4231, almost always played a diamond last season

Formations do my head in, who cares what formation they line up in, if the players then do not do their jobs properly, the defenders are supposed to defend bottom line, and they certainly are not doing that properly, the midfielders are supposed to be getting in stuck in and creatig chances for the forwards, and none of our current midfielders are doing that very well. You can have any formation you want, but it will not make a bit if difference without effort, commitment and a modicum of skill.
