I am not a glass half full or half glass empty kind of guy. I just call it as I see it every time, sometimes its negative, sometimes its positive.
Firstly, what a great point. I suppose that picking up points when you don't play well is a sign of a good team, so a point in the hardest game of the season will do fine thank you very much. well done boys. good start to the season if we can back it up with a win next week v Newcastle and then pick up a point or more at the Emirates. We normally start quite slowly each year so a good start would be a refreshing change.
I thought the performance was absolutely terrible. The only thing that stopped us losing that game was a nonsense new law re handball, VAR deciding not to review Lamela's penalty decision, some poor finishing from city, and a couple of good saves from Lloris.
The team line up was the first problem. Im sorry, but I cannot help but go back to the RB situation.... KWP completely lost his marker for the first goal, was constantly caught out of position and got dispossessed in dangerous areas. Red flag and alarm bells ringing for the season lads. RB is a massive problem area for us.
why the fack verts isn't starting games ahead of Sanchez I have no idea... but hes another weak link - poor position for city second goal.
our inability to put together any type of attacking play was a concern ... I have seen mid table and worse sides put together decent attacks against city from time to time. we were pissssss poor and the majority of our 44% possession was knocking it around the back.
the pressing isn't there as a unit, and we didn't look as fit as city.
it was a performance like the last third of last season in the league.

So chelsea are better than liverpool?

Has anyone seen Liverpool play this season? They may have won both games but they've been awful and they're yet to play anyone decent.
I know they've dropped points, but City are by far the best team thus far.

Chelsea are still better than Spurs, they won a trophy last season and finished in front of Spurs. Not sure why any Spurs fan would think we are better. We simply are not.
We may improve as the season goes on, but if you had to put money on any team out of Spurs or Chelsea winning a trophy, it wouldn`t be Spurs.

Sandy you basically said yesterday you didn’t think Liverpool were better than spurs even though they won the CL and finished about 26 points above us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I don't think Liverpool are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok but you made the argument that Chelsea were on the basis they finished above us last season and won a trophy
I was just applying your logic

City are so far above us it’s not even funny. I do think we’re closer to Liverpool than last season’s table suggested though.

When Mancunian Citay reach the Champions League Final I will class them as decent. Until then...

Yeh that is my take as well. Performances of both Spurs and Liverpool have been poor.

It was the 2nd game and we managed to get a point.
Too many people already pointing fingers and looking for scapegoats already
The performances will improve. Getting a point at City will give the side a massive confidence boost.
We'll smash Newcastle then it's Arsenal away.

Yeah but Liverpool have taken maximum points without playing well. When they’re playing well they’d beat anyone in the league with the exception of City, so for them not to challenge they’d need to drop points before they hit their stride. Us on the other hand have also got 2 good results without playing well, but there’s not nearly the same reason to believe we will hit our stride and blow away the competition. Every game, whether it’s against relegation fodder or top tier, seems to be hard work.

Liverpool will lose more than one game this season Ace, last season was an exceptional season. No way will they repeat that. I expect them to come back to the pack. I may be wrong, but I suspect I may also be right.
