Greener grass? How is that Emre and Phil?

Can and Coutinho both left Liverpool for different reasons and now barely a year plus later both are being jettisoned by their respective clubs, while on the other hand Liverpool have just recorded one of the best points haul ever in premier league / top flight football and claimed Europe's biggest trophy as well as the super cup and may even add the club championship to their haul

If football is about winning and competing for the biggest trophies then both coutinho and Emre must surely regret their decisions; grass is not always greener fellas

As you say GB, the grass is not always greener, but it wont stop some players wanting to leave LFC for whatever reason.

Can never really had much affinity with the club and Cout was like most South American players who will always jump when Real or Barca come calling.

Must admit though it was a sweet moment when we beat Barca with Suarez and Cout in the team.

Always the league for me. But would really enjoy a CL.

Me too. The cL wins have been the most enjoyable times as a united fan but that’s because for most clubs cL wins are rare and it’s a bit of a lottery of a comp at times.

At this moment in time I’d rather a league. It proves you are the best team in the country.

The CL is indeed a lottery. Liverpool lost four games in the CL and won it. They lost one game in the Prem and didn`t win it. The Prem is infinitely harder to win than the CL in it`s current format.

You'll get over it someday.

Spurs also lost 4 games on their way to the final.

Then they lost the final.

Looking back my two greatest memories as a United fan have been firstly winning the league the first time after a Liverpool like sabbatical under Fergie I was on the beach at Abersoch listening to Villa lose which gave us the title and it was like a just burst into tears moment and then being at the Camp Nou with my dad when we beat Bayern it was pandemonium when Ole scores the winner and European Cup is so special to us following Munich.
Under Fergie I know it sounds crazy but I think we got a bit apathetic about winning the league it was just something we expected another Lap of honour with our trophy, if it left it was only on loan for a year bit like Liverpool under Shanks and Paisley.
We’re two truest great clubs when you look at it no petro dollars, magnificent support good times or bad, up and downs but always relevant, guess it’s our turn now to appreciate success when it comes knocking again.

Can only assume they thought joining bigger and more prestigious clubs was more important than winning stuff at pool.

Define bigger. Define prestigious in football terms.

No club is bigger or more prestigious than Liverpool, and don't you forget it.

Barca are. Real are. Bayern are. And guess what else, they’ve all won their league in the last 3 decades....

All that for a drop of blood.

You can imagine they're still not bigger or greater than Liverpool after all that.

I think coutinho regrets the move. After a full season they are shipping him out and was abused by his own fans

Why bother speak about former players anymore?
