Early Impressions

Phillip Cocu has shown that he is quick to react to tactical situations developing on the pitch. He's made substitutions at half time in 3 of 4 games. It could be argued that we went from being under the cosh yesterday to possibly winning it because of the introduction of Beilik at half time. I know we went 2-1 down but that was down to the defence falling asleep rather than a tactical issue.
Bird came off for Evans and we took complete control against Scunny and we brought Paterson on against Swansea, we didn't score but we took control.
He's clearly proactive and reads the we game well. The detractors will say that if he'd done his homework right in the first place we wouldn't need to make tactical changes at half time.

Me, well undefeated says it all. I think he's a very astute chap and we have ourselves a gem.

Holmes is getting a run out for the u23 tonight.
I'll be good to see him back in action.
We can rule Shinnie out for tomorrow as he's with the u23 tonight as well.

I don't think shinnie will feature much this season.

Then what is the bloody point of signing him? We are no better than the gianormous Premiership clubs hoovering everyone up.!

A perfectly satisfactory career at the mid to upper echelons of Scottish footy - to be a bench warmer or u23 in the Championship..........

Cocu didn't sign him, heb. Maybe Frank had his ideas about how he was going to use him, and were he still here, shinnie would highly likely be starting games, but if cocu doesn't like what he sees, or shinnie doesn't fit into how cocu wants to play, he's under no obligation to start him. Shinnie is just a victim of being signed by the previous manager.

You are, as ever, the voice of reason Harps. I'm just perhaps overly protective of our Scottish interests

Shinnie is playing well for the under 21s, as is Holmes and Martin. Top man is Brown at left back and Sibley is doing well.

Holmes looked sharp in the first half. He'll give us an option in the coming weeks. He may be ready in time for Forest.

Who scored Rameses, I have been watching the Man U v Wolves game. Pogba, I wouldn’t have him anywhere near a team. Shocking waste of money.

Mitchell-Lawson
Good move, Martin involved putting Bird in on the left to cross for Whittaker who unselfishly nodded it back across goal for the young lad to finsh from 6 yards out.
He deserved it because he was scythed down in the first half for what should have been a penalty.
